Afghan Kabuli Pulao Recipe
Afghan Kabli pulao is very tasty and delish Afghani Dish.it is very popular in Afghanistan and also considered as the national dish. Now you can make tasty and delicious Afghan Kabuli Pulao at home very easily by following below mentioned tips. Have the complete recipe of Afghan Kabuli Pulao below:
- Lamb/Chicken/beef 1 kg
- Half boiled Basmati rice 3 cups
- 3 sliced Onions
- Garam masala powder 2 tablespoon
- Cloves 5 to 6
- Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
- Green cardamom 5 to 6
- Black Pepper 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Desi Ghee 2 tablespoon
Ingredients for Garnish:
- One julienne cut Carrot
- Sliced Almond
- Black raisins 5 tablespoons
- Sugar 4 tablespoon
First of all make the chicken broth (Yakhni) and set aside.
In a pan heat desi ghee and add carrots and almond and fry them for 3 minutes, now add black raisins, sugar and cardamom powder. Cook until sugar melts.
Now in a deep pan fry the onion till golden and add chicken/beef/lamb and fry for 5 minutes now add green cardamom, cloves, salt and water and cover the pan with lid.
In another pan add half boiled basmati rice and add chicken broth and garam masala and mix well. Now pour the fried chicken on the rice and also place carrot mixture on the top of it. Keep them for steaming for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes mix the rice well to serve. The yummy and tasty Afghan Kabuli Pulao is ready to eat.
