Shawwal Moon 2022 Not Sighted in Pakistan Eid-ul-Fitr to be on May 3

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Pakistan has officially declared that the Shawwal Moon 2022 has not been sighted in the country therefore Eid-ul-Fitr is to be on Tuesday, May 3.

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting has taken place in Islamabad under the chair of RHC Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad. On the other hand, the zonal committees of Karachi and Punjab, Peshawar ended their meeting after they could not sight the Shawwal moon 2022 in Pakistan.

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has also decided and officially announced that the Eid-ul-Fitr 2022 in Pakistan will be on Tuesday, 3rd May in Pakistan. On the other hand, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will celebrate Eid on May 3 as the Shawwal crescent moon was not sighted in all these countries as well.

As per Pakistan Meteorological Department’s prediction, there were fewer chances of the Shawwal moon being sighted on 1st May in the country.

On the other hand, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr 2022 on Monday, 2nd May.
