Here’s Everything About Suzuki Alto 2019 in Pakistan. There were many reported the Pak-Suzuki would discontinue the manufacturing of the Suzuki Mehran and in 2018 it would only launch the limited editions of this cost effect car and in 2019 the Mehran would be totally discontinued by the company. The company had earlier, in its internal circular to vendors, publicized its plans to terminate the long-running Mehran from April 2019. The company has also instructed its vendors to slow down the production of its parts as well.

Pak Suzuki had launched the Mehran 800cc in 1988. The Mehran 800cc had replaced the Suzuki FX 800cc at that time and now the Motor Company has revealed that they would replace the Mehran 800cc with Alto 660cc.

Earlier it was reported that the Alto 2019 will come equipped with the 800cc engine but now it’s confirmed that the company will install the 660cc imported engine in this hatch-back.

After the discontinuation of Mehran the company will introduce the all new Suzuki Alto 2019 in Pakistan. The new Suzuki Alto will be having the 660cc engine and will hit the market in the first quarter of 2019. The latest Alto will completely be manufactured in Pakistan but the reports suggest that the engine will be imported with the locally developed transmission, similar to one that is available in the currently assembled Suzuki Wagon R.

The most exciting thing about the all new Suzuki Alto 2019 is that it would be a fuel efficient hatchback and is especially designed using the ‘Suzuki Green Technology’. Pak-Suzuki claims its fuel economy is 37km/liter, which is very competent for a non-hybrid car.

The automotive company had disclosed this information to almost two years ago at the Senate Standing Committee on Industries and Production during its visit to the production area of the Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited (PSMCL) as you can see the images below Mr. Ahsan Iqbal (former federal minister) checking and sitting in a white manual Suzuki Alto.

Suzuki Alto is a kei car manufactured by Suzuki. Its vending points have long comprised a low price and good fuel economy. The model, presently in its eighth generation, was first introduced in 1979, with a three-door cargo version of the Fronte passenger car, equipped with a folding rear seat, and has been built in many countries across the world. The Alto insignia has often been used on many cars in Japan and in export markets, where it is regarded a city car.

As per reports there will be a total three variants of the car; two manual variants and one fully loaded automatic variant. The high spec manual and fully loaded auto variant will come with a power steering.


As per the recent information regarding the specification of Suzuki Alto 2019 few things are in light like the new hatchback to feature the 660cc imported engine with the locally developed transmission. The new car will be having the ‘Suzuki Green Technology’ and fuel economy lets you run 37km/liter.

the other features may include Keyless Entry, Push to Start, Traction Control & VSC, 7 Airbags, Collision Alert, Retractable Side Mirrors and many other.

Availability of Suzuki Alto 2019 in Pakistan

Pak-Suzuki has not officially declared the launch date of the Alto 2019 but it is expected to announce it in coming months.

Some of the reports claim that the company has assembled almost the 25 units of the new Alto 2019 hatchback and will start delivering in March 2019.

As the company is planning to launch the three variants of the Alto 2019 the two high-spec manual variants may cost round about 8 to 9 lacs. On the other hand the fully loaded automatic version will be sold more than one million. However, there is no official confirmation regarding the prices as well.
