What is congenital heart disease (CHD) in Children? A congenital heart disease (CHD) means a child is born with a strangely structured heart and/or large vessels. In CDH disease the children have incomplete and missing parts of the heart such as holes between chamber partitions or may have narrow or leaky valves or narrow vessels. Child born with CDH need immediate surgery to save the life. As per study nearly 100,000 children in the country were either born with or developed either of these conditions every year. In Pakistan approximately 30 %to 40% people die daily due to CDH.
