A renowned Social media platform Twitter has become unattainable across Pakistan. A large number of users are reporting that the service of Twitter is blocked in Pakistan. People across Pakistan cannot access Twitter either through the web or the mobile app.
It is reported that Twitter was blocked in Pakistan at nearly 8:00 PM, following the protests in favor of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman (PTI) and Ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan (who was arrested today in allegations of corruption). He was arrested at Islamabad High Court (IHC) by Rangers personnel, who had an arrest warrant issued by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
It is significant to mention here that the service of Twitter has gone down across the globe. Still, in Pakistan, it is restricted due to the ongoing security situation in the country.
However, there has been no official comment by relevant authorities regarding the Twitter blockage in Pakistan.
Besides Twitter, the famous messaging platform Whatsapp and other social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram’s services are reportedly down for a number of users in Pakistan.
Some people have also reported that YouTube not working in Pakistan too.
