Zilhaj Moon 2022 in Pakistan Likely to Sight on June 30

Zilhaj Moon 2022 in Pakistan is likely to be sighted Thursday on 30th June and thus the Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on Sunday 10th July in the country.  

The Islamic month of Zilhaj 1443 Hijri is all set to begin in Pakistan likely on Thursday 30th June if the Zilhaj moon is sighted in the country. The first Zilhajj 2022 in Pakistan will be on 30th June while the Eid-Ul-Adha 2022 will be observed on Sunday 10th July on 10th Zilhajj 2022 in Pakistan.

In Pakistan members of the various districts, committees meet at their respective offices for sighting the Eid moon and the final decision is announced by committee chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad will officially declare the sighting of the “Zilhaj moon 2022 in Pakistan”.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted that there will be no chance of sighting the new moon of Zilhaj 1443 Hijri on the evening of 9th June 29th of Ziquad.

As per the statement issued by the Met Office, the new moon of Zilhaj 2022 will be born on crossing conjunction point at 07:52 Pakistan Standard Time (PST) on 29th June, therefore, according to astronomical parameters, there is no chance of sighting the Zilhaj moon on the eve of Wednesday, 9th of June. The Zilhaj moon 2022 will be sighted on the eve of 30th June and the 1st Zilhaj in Pakistan will be on Friday 1st July.

The Month of Zilhaj:

Zilhaj is the twelfth and last Islamic month in the Islamic calendar. It is a very holy month in the Islamic calendar because in this month the Muslim Ummah performs hajj and celebrates the Festival of the Sacrifice in the memory of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), who dreamed that God ordered him to sacrifice his only son, Hazrat Ismail (AS).

During the month Zilhajj Muslim pilgrims from all across the world gather together at Mecca to visit the Kaaba.

The Hajj is performed on the eighth, ninth and the tenth of Zilhaj and the Day of Arafah takes place on the ninth day of the month.

On the other hand the Eid-ul-Adha, the “Festival of the Sacrifice”, celebrates on the tenth day which ends on the sunset of the 13th Zilhaj.

The Muslim Ummah performed the below-mentioned worships in the first nine days of the month of Zilhaj.

Give extra charity (Sadaqah) in the first 10 days of Zilhaj.

Perform Salaah and spend time in Masjid in order to worship of Allah.

Offer voluntary Nafl prayers.

In Saudi Arabia “Eid-ul-Adha 2022” will likely be celebrated on the 9th of July, according to information.

According to this report, the Eid-ul-Adha 2022 in Saudi Arabia will be on the 9th of July, with the start of the first Zilhaj the Hajj Season would be started and this year only a few thousand pilgrims would perform Hajj from within the Kingdom.
