Earthquake in Pakistan Jolts Major Cities. A moderate to severe earthquake jolts the major cities of Pakistan today on the 11th September, reports. The earthquake today has emerged from different parts of the country including Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and KP. Swat, Parachinar, Malakand, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Multan, Khanewal, Chiniot, Kamalia, Talagang, Lower Dir, Hangu, Charsadda, and Swabi.

There are no reports of damage so far. The earthquake created panic among people, and they rushed out of their homes, reciting verses of the Holy Quran. The magnitude 5.7 on the Richter scale and the jolts were felt in many parts of Punjab, Pakistan, including Lahore.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD} is about to issue a detailed report on the event.
