on 21 June 2020 Pakistan will witness the “ring of fire” which will be completely visible across the country, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has said in a statement.
The first “Suraj Grahan in Pakistan in June 2020” is all set to occur on Sunday, 21st and this will be “annular solar eclipse” which will be visible in Pakistan, India, Africa, Central African Republic, Congo, Ethiopia and China.
This specific eclipse is said to be the ‘deepest’ annular solar eclipse in nearly a hundred years.

What is an annular solar eclipse?
A solar eclipse takes place when the moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thus completely or partially hindering the light of the Sun for the Earth. This will be an annular solar eclipse which will show a ring of fire during the eclipse – also called as annulus.
When there is a total solar eclipse, the moon completely covers the Sun and the shadow falls on Earth. In an annular solar eclipse, the Sun and Moon are in line with the Earth but the size of the moon is smaller than the sun which makes the sun looks as a bright ring which is called annulus as well.

This is the first and annular solar eclipse of the year 2020 and is all set to start at the first location on June 21 at 8:45 am The Solar Eclipse 2020 in Pakistan will reach its peak at 11:40 pm and will end at around 2:34 pm. The duration of the solar eclipse will be of approximately six hours.

The first is to not watch the solar eclipse with a bared eye and instead use eye protection or indirect viewing techniques. If you see the solar eclipse with the naked eyes it can damage your cornea.
The radiation would be much more direct than it was during the previous solar eclipse 2020.
Physicians and medical experts recommend that watching the solar eclipse with the naked eyes can leave damaging effects on the cornea of the eyes.
