Hajj Applications 2022 to be Accepted from May 1

This year the Hajj applications 2022 will be received from 1st May to 13 May whereas the Government Banks will start accepting Hajj Applications from May 9 to May 13.

Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Mufti Abdul Shakoor has announced the Hajj Policy and its expenses will be declared soon, it is expected that according to the policy the official hajj scheme quota is 81,132 pilgrims for the government scheme. The 40 percent will perform hajj under the government hajj scheme and sixty percent private hajj scheme this year.

He further added that the applicants will deposit token money of Rs 50,000.

When to submit Hajj Applications 2022?

According to the sources, the government banks will start accepting Hajj Applications starting from 9th May till 13th May.  The draw to choose the pilgrims for hajj 2022 through the government scheme will be held after the application process will complete.

As per the reports, the Hajj 2022 expense may be around Rs. 700,000 to Rs. 1,000,000..

Required Documents

Intended Pilgrims need to have an International Machine Readable Passport for at least 6 months validity.

A computerised National Identity Card and Medical certificate.

In order to submit hajj applications in 2022 via the government scheme the intended pilgrims have to obtain Hajj Application forms from the prescribed bank branches mentioned below:

  1. National Bank Limited (NBP)
  2. Allied Bank Limited (ABL)
  3. Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB)
  4. United Bank Limited (UBL)
  5. Habib Bank Limited (HBL)
  6. Bank Alfalah
  7. Bank of Punjab (BOP)
  8. Mezan Bank

You can either visit the nearby bank branch to obtain the hajj application forms or also can download it by visiting the official websites of the banks.

Important Note:

It is important to mention here that the applicant must not be above 65 years of age and the pilgrims will have to be vaccinated with a booster dose.
