PML-N ends 20 -hour load shedding : Abid . State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said that when Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) came into power , the country was facing the worst energy crisis of its history with power outages of as long as 20 hours a day which has been drastically reduced.
He expressed his views in a ceremony held on Tuesday. He said that energy projects added 8,500 MW to the national grid adding that the government will also add 4000MW to system till March, 2018.
He asserted to repair transmission lines within four to five month.
The state minister said that the government made conscious efforts during the past four years to end the energy crisis that hurt every sector of the economy and affected the country’s exports.
Abid Sher Ali stated that Pakistan would soon be free of load-shedding.
