This service will be extended to the rest of the cities soon. With the online passport renewal service, one can now renew their passport for an additional fee of Rs. 1,000.

In a recent move, the Government of Pakistan has temporarily suspended the issuance of 100-page passports. The Passport Office revealed disappointment for any trouble caused by this interim suspension. Notably, this move aligns with the Directorate General (DG) of Immigration and Passports’ initiative to introduce electronic passports (e-passports) nationwide.

Last year, The Pakistani government launched the E-passport system in the country to allow Pakistani citizens living abroad to renew their passports with this online system.
Now, the e-passport renewal system is also available for the citizen of the country; they can also use this online e-service portal to renew their passports if they have expired.
This e-services portal is a hassle-free way to renew expired passports. It means you do not need to worry about going to the passport office to get them renewed, and also no need to worry about waiting for a long time in queue. With this new online e-passport system, you can not only renew your expired passport but also apply for the renewal of the passport if only 7 months are left in expiration.
Here is how you can renew your expired Pakistani Passport with the online e-service portal.
First of all, open the e-service portal here and then click on the passport renewal icon.
Here you need to register yourself by providing you with accurate information.
Once you get registered, you will get the confirmation email or SMS.
Overseas Pakistanis will only receive Emails regarding the verification code and other information.
Once you have registered and prepared with you the photograph and supporting documents, you are ready to apply online for the renewal of your machine-readable passport.
