Eid ul Adha, also known as Bakra Eid or the Festival of Sacrifice, is an important Islamic holiday celebrated in Pakistan and around the world in Muslim countries. Traditionally, Eid-ul-Adha falls on the 10th day of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah, following the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca. The Islamic calendar is based on the lunar cycle, so the date of Eid ul Adha varies each year from the Gregorian calendar.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad will officially declare the sighting of the Zilhaj Moon 2023 and also about the Eid-ul-Adha in Pakistan.

In Saudi Arabia, Eid-ul-Adha will likely be celebrated on Wednesday, 28th June 2023.
