Ramadan 2020: First Ramadan will begin on the eve of Friday 24th April in Pakistan and on 23rd April 2020 in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and other Middle East countries.
This year Ramadan for Muslims will be different any they have practiced before. Muslims across the globe start the month of Ramadan by saying no to food or drink from dawn to dusk, it always marked in a more somber manner.

Fasting is one of the five mandatory pillars of Islam. Muslims keep fasts in the holy month of Ramadan and seeks Allah’s blessings and forgiveness. The month of Ramadan is also a period of intense spirituality, self-control and an opportunity to reconnect with God. The Muslim faithful, following their evening meal, will engage in special nighttime prayers known as tarawih.
Many Muslims mark the occasion on the 27th night, which they call ‘Laylat ul Qadr’ or ‘The Night of Destiny’ with additional prayer.
This year the holy month of Ramadan is to begin on the eve of Friday 24th April in Pakistan in many countries around the world it will start on the eve on 23rd April.
The moon gazers (The Ministry of Science and Technology) said that the Ramadan Moon 2020 announced will be sighted in Pakistan on the evening of 24th April while on 25th April there will be the 1st Ramadan.
Millions of Muslims around the world will begin the holy month of Ramadan on Thursday, 23rd April, 2020.
After the declaration of the concerned authorities the holy month of Ramadan 2020 will begin in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Malaysia and Middle East countries.
Ramadan 2020 moon in Pakistan
On the other hand the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet at the head office in Karachi to see the Ramadan moon in Pakistan. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee headed by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman will watch the Ramadan moon in Pakistan.
The Ruet-e-Hilal committee will also receive the evidence concerning sight of the crescent for the holy month of Ramadan.
The Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman will officially announce the Ramadan 2020 moon sighted in Pakistan and the 1st Ramadan ul Mubarak will be on 25th April.
If there will be 29 Rozas (fasts) in Pakistan then the Eid-ul-Fitr 2020 will be on Sunday 24th May (date may vary).

Zakat and Sadaqah Al-Fitr
The Sadaqah Al Fitr is different from the annual payment of Zakat and Muslims have to pay it before the Eid-ul-Fitr Prayer.
This year the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has fixed the Nisab for Zakat deduction on bank accounts at Rs.39,198 for the current Islamic year. Under the Zakat and Ushr Ordinance 1980, no Zakat would be deducted in case a bank account has less than Rs.39,198.
On the other hand, the amount of Sadaqah Al Fitr is not yet announced by the concerned authorities. Last year the Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman had declared that minimum sadqa al fitar is Rs.100 and every one need to pay it according to his/her financial conditions.
Last year the Sadaqah Al Fitr was as per wheat rate was Rs.100, Rs.400 for barley, Raisins rates was Rs.1600 per person.
Roza Fidiya was Rs.12,000 as per barley rate and Rs.48,000 as per dates and Rs.57,600 for Raisins rates.
Roza na rakhne ka Kaffara is to feed 60 poor people or to give Rs.6,000 for wheat, Rs. 24,000 for barley, Rs. 96,000 for dates and Rs1,15,200 for raisin.
